Proposed amendments to the GSL scheme – 2026

On 23 December 2025, we received a proposal from Energy Queensland seeking 2 amendments to the Guaranteed Service Levels (GSL) scheme in the Electricity Distribution Network Code (EDNC).
On 20 February 2026, we published Energy Queensland’s proposal as well as our interim consultation notice and issues document. We invited stakeholders to provide submissions on the issues document by 20 March 2026. We received 5 submissions in response.
On 22 May 2026, we published our draft report and final consultation notice as well as a marked-up version of the EDNC with the proposed changes. We invite stakeholders to provide submissions on our draft report and the proposed amendments to the EDNC. Submissions are due by 19 June 2026.
We intend to release a final decision in August 2026.
