Review of RAB-based irrigation prices 2027–29

Status
In progress

On 30 October 2025, the Queensland Government directed us to investigate and report on appropriate prices for the irrigation services provided by Sunwater and Seqwater, derived using the regulatory asset base (RAB) approach. These prices are to be based on allowable costs that are consistent with our positions from the review of irrigation prices for 2025–26 to 2028–29, adjusted to reflect the use of the RAB approach for recovering renewals expenditure.

We published the businesses’ RAB-based proposals on 2 March 2026.

In March 2026, we held stakeholder workshops in various locations. The workshop presentations and summaries of key issues raised at each workshop are provided below.

Submissions on the businesses’ proposals closed on 14 April 2026. We will publish the submissions shortly.
