DBCT Management sought to amend the 2010 access undertaking, proposing to apply differential pricing for future capacity expansions at DBCT.

On 25 August 2015, we released our final decision on DBCT Management’s differential pricing DAAU, which is available below

We refused to approve the DAAU, and indicated the manner in which DBCT Management would need to amend the DAAU so that we could approve it.

On 22 May 2015, we released our draft decision on DBCT Management’s differential pricing DAAU.

We received submissions from DBCT Management and the DBCT User Group.

On 3 February 2015, we received a draft amending access undertaking (DAAU) from DBCT Management to amend its 2010 access undertaking requiring us to consider whether future capacity expansions at the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) should be priced on a differential basis.

Under section 142 of the Queensland Competition Authority Act 1997 (QCA Act), we must consider a DAAU given to us and decide whether to approve, or refuse to approve, that DAAU.

We received submissions on the DAAU from the DBCT User Group and Vale Australia, and a supplementary submission from DBCT Management.
