We published our final determination on regulated retail electricity prices for regional Queensland on 11 June 2021. Overall, notified prices in 2021–22 are:
- decreasing by 7.3% for a typical customer on the main residential tariff (tariff 11)
- decreasing by 3.7% for a typical customer on the main small business tariff (tariff 20).
On 8 January 2021, we received a delegation from the Minister for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen to set regulated electricity prices to apply in regional Queensland in 2021–22.
We published a consultation paper and, in response, received submissions from 5 stakeholders.
We published our draft determination on 24 March 2021.
During a stakeholder workshop held on 7 April 2021, we covered the key issues in our draft determination. The workshop was designed to assist stakeholders prepare submissions.
We received 7 public submissions on our draft determination.
