Under Aurizon Network’s UT5 we may approve the prudent and efficient value of private incremental costs (PIC) associated with private infrastructure, on request from an access seeker or Aurizon Network.
On 13 April 2022, Bravus Mining and Resources requested that we approve a PIC amount for its Carmichael rail loop project and connecting infrastructure.
We released a draft decision on 10 October 2022, and after consideration of all issues raised, we approved a PIC amount on 15 December 2022.

On 9 July 2021, Sojitz MDS Mining Pty Ltd requested us to approve a PIC amount for its MDS rail and train loading project.
On 17 February 2022, we approved a PIC amount for the project.
