Application for price ruling—the 8X expansion

On 16 March 2021, we received an application from Dalrymple Bay Infrastructure Management (DBIM) for a ruling on the pricing method applicable to the 8X expansion. DBIM submitted its application in accordance with s. 150D of the Queensland Competition Authority Act 1997 (QCA Act).

We have now completed our investigation of DBIM’s application in accordance with s. 150H of the QCA Act.

We consider it appropriate to make the ruling DBIM sought in its application—that is, the applicable pricing method to be applied for the 8X expansion is socialisation.

Our ruling is provided below. We will be bound by our ruling in making an access determination for the declared service at the terminal and deciding whether to approve a draft access undertaking relating to the service, subject to s. 150K of the QCA Act.
