QCA implements a Performance Framework

The Queensland Competition Authority has collaborated with Queensland Treasury and developed a Performance Framework (the framework) as a means of strengthening its commitment to accountability, transparency and improve the efficiency of its operation. The framework took effect from 1 July 2018 and has been structured based on four key themes namely:

  • efficiency and prudency of QCA costs and regulatory fees
  • timely and transparent processes
  • effective and efficient regulatory outcomes
  • effective stakeholder engagement.

Key performance indicators (KPI) have been developed that give effect to these themes and each KPI will be monitored and tracked.  Following the annual assessment in July each year, results will be analysed and outcomes reported to the Deputy Premier and published in our Annual Report.

“The framework requires a biennial stakeholder survey and the first of these surveys will be issued following notification of next financial years results.  All feedback and responses will be considered by the Board” said QCA Chair Professor Flavio Menezes.

The Performance Framework can be accessed on QCA’s website at http://www.qca.org.au/About-us/Performance-Framework.
