Proposed Standard Rail Connection Agreements

On 30 June 2011, QR Network submitted its proposed standard rail connection agreement (SRCA) to the Authority in accordance with clause 8.4(a) of its approved 2010 undertaking.

QR Network noted that the proposed SRCA includes provisions to give effect to performance standards for managing coal loss, which are consistent with the terms in negotiated transfer facilities licences for existing loading facilities.

QR Network has requested that the SRCA be considered in conjunction with its proposed amendments to Section 8.3 (connecting infrastructure) contained in its 2011 DAAU. The 2011 DAAU was submitted to the Authority on 24 December and is available on the Authority’s website here.

Following requests from Asciano Limited, QR National Coal and the Queensland Resources Council, the Authority extended the deadline for submissions to 2 September 2011.
