October 2009 Extension DAAU

Extension of Termination Date

On 30 October 2009, the Authority received from QR Network a draft amending access undertaking (DAAU) to extend the termination date of the 2008 undertaking from 31 December 2009 to 31 May 2010.

On 2 November 2009, the Authority issued QR Network with a notice of investigation and sought submissions from stakeholders. The Authority received submissions from Asciano Ltd., the Queensland Resources Council (QRC) and Queensland Treasury, each of which supported the extension.

On 10 December 2009, the Authority approved the DAAU. Accordingly, the 2008 access undertaking now terminates on 31 May 2010.
