Revenue Cap Adjustments

QR operates under a hybrid revenue cap regulatory regime - where any over (under) recovery of its approved revenue cap is returned (recouped) through reference tariff adjustments two years later (revenue cap adjustment).

QR's obligations in relation to its revenue cap, including the revenue cap adjustment, are set out in its access undertaking. Under these arrangements, within 60 days of the end of the financial year, QR is required to submit, for the Queensland Competition Authority's approval, a proposal to vary its reference tariffs.
