Costing Manual

The costing manual provides the framework for the identification, attribution and allocation of assets, costs, revenues and investments as Above Rail, Below Rail and Other Activities, and the development of financial statements for Below Rail services provided by QR Network.

On 15 July 2008, QR Network lodged an application with the Authority to amend the costing manual that was approved on 25 July 2007. The purpose of the amendment was to update the costing manual to reflect improvements in QR's accounting systems and to streamline aspects of the audit process. On 25 September 2008, the Authority approved QR Network's proposal.

This revised costing manual will apply from 26 September 2008 until 30 June 2009.
