2006 Access Undertaking

QR's 2006 Draft Access Undertaking Documents

On 24 May 06, Queensland Rail (QR) submitted a draft access undertaking to the Queensland Competition Authority.

On 9 June 2006, QR submitted a revised draft access undertaking (the 2006 DAU) to the Authority under s.136 of the Queensland Competition Authority Act 1997 and advised the Authority that it wished to withdraw the proposal submitted on 24 May 2006.

The 2006 DAU is essentially the same as QR's previous proposal, the only exception being that QR recalculated the electric infrastructure tariff component for the Blackwater System (AT5).

QR's revised AT5 was recalculated based on a change in the depreciation profile of its Blackwater electric assets for the regulatory period, in order to reflect an expected temporary reduction in forecast electric trains.
