2001 Access Undertaking Amendments and Activities
Further Extension of Expiry Date
On 5 December 2005, the Queensland Competition Authority received from Queensland Rail (QR) an application to amend its access undertaking to further extend the expiry date of the undertaking from 31 December 2005 to either 30 June 2006 or the approval date of a replacement undertaking, whichever comes first. QR has also proposed to retrospectively apply the coal reference tariffs included in the replacement 2005 undertaking from 1 July 2005.
The Authority approved QR’s draft amending access undertaking to further extend the expiry date of the 2001 access undertaking on 15 December 2005.

Initial Extension of Expiry Date
On 11 May 2005, the Queensland Competition Authority received from Queensland Rail (QR) an application to amend its access undertaking to extend the expiry date of the undertaking from 30 June 2005 to either 31 December 2005 or the approval date of a replacement undertaking, whichever comes first.
On 29 June 2005, the Authority approved the extension of the expiry date of the 2001 access undertaking.
