Service Quality

In its Final Decision on the 2001 access arrangements for the Queensland gas distribution networks, the Queensland Competition Authority flagged its intention to establish an ongoing service quality monitoring regime to address concerns that service quality may be sacrificed for higher profits.

In June 2003 the Authority released its Decision Paper on Monitoring Service Quality, which outlined the structure and implementation of a gas distribution service quality monitoring regime. A part of this decision was the requirement for service providers to report on service quality measures on an annual basis.
