Service Quality

Guidelines

In October 2001 the Queensland Competition Authority released the Electricity Distribution Service Quality Guidelines, which specify the information required to be reported on by Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSP) on a quarterly and annual basis.

As foreshadowed in its Final Determination on the Regulation of Electricity Distribution (2005) the Authority released revised Guidelines in August 2005 in order to strengthen the reporting arrangements by providing more relevant information for consumers and more closely aligning the reporting of a number of measures with other jurisdictions. DNSPs commenced using the revised Guidelines in their September 2005 quarter service quality reports.
