Review of Minimum Service Standards and Guaranteed Service Levels to Apply in Queensland from 1 July 2010

The Queensland Electricity Industry Code (the Code) sets the minimum service standards (MSS) and guaranteed service levels (GSL) and payments that are to be met by Energex and Ergon Energy during the current regulatory period.

Under sections 2.4.4 and 2.5.19 of the Code, the Queensland Competition Authority is required to review the MSS and GSL requirements to apply from the beginning of the next regulatory period beginning 1 July 2010.

The Authority released a Discussion Paper seeking submissions on the issues to be considered in reviewing MSS and GSL requirements.

Submissions in response to the Discussion Paper closed on 15 August 2008.
