Cost Pass-through Applications

Severe Tropical Cyclone Larry Cost Pass-Through Application from Ergon Energy

The Queensland Competition Authority (the Authority) released its Final Decision on Ergon Energy's Severe Tropical Cyclone Larry Cost Pass-through Application in September 2008. The Authority's Final Decision was to approve the pass-through of costs associated with $6.7 million of capital costs and $7.9 million of operating costs incurred by Ergon Energy in response to Cyclone Larry.

In terms of revenue, the Authority's September 2008 Final Decision provided for Ergon Energy to raise an additional $5.0 million in 2008-09 and $5.8 million in 2009-10.

On 27 April 2009, the Authority issued an Errata correcting an error in the calculation of the required revenue for 2009-10. Rather than the $5.8 million stated in the Final Decision, the correct amount of additional revenue for 2009-10 should be $8.4 million.

Having corrected this error, the Authority has re-issued its Final Decision.
