Prescribed Distribution Services - 2007 Amendment
On 26 June 2007, the Queensland Competition Authority released a proposed amendment to its Electricity Distribution: Determination of Prescribed Services (September 2000). The amendment proposed broader criteria for excluding services, consistent with the intention of the National Electricity Rules, and which would provide the Authority with an option to exclude certain services from the fixed revenue cap form of regulation and apply an alternative, light-handed form of regulation to those services.
In response to its proposed amendment, the Authority received 3 submissions from interested parties which generally supported the Authority’s proposed amendment. These submissions can be viewed below.
On 22 August 2007, the Authority approved the proposed amendment following consideration of submissions received. The Authority’s Final Decision - Amendment to Electricity Distribution: Determination of Prescribed Services (August 2007) can be accessed below.
