Consumer Complaints

On 1 July 2007, the Office of the Energy Ombudsman Queensland was established as the primary dispute resolution service for Queensland's small energy consumers.

The Energy Ombudsman can provide consumers with advice and assistance in relation to complaints or concerns regarding your electricity or gas supplier. Prior to contacting the Energy Ombudsman you should first try to resolve the problem with your energy retailer or distributor. All retailers and distributors have dispute resolution services and it is likely that your concerns can be resolved directly with them.

However, if you are not happy with their response or you are otherwise unable to resolve your dispute, you can contact the Energy Ombudsman on 1800 662 837 or visit www.eoq.com.au
