Service Quality Incentive Scheme
In the Final Determination on the Regulation of Electricity Distribution (2001) the Queensland Competition Authority expressed the intention to consider including a service quality incentive mechanism in the regulatory framework of the next regulatory period.
In April 2004, the Authority released its Final Decision which outlined a service quality incentive scheme based on a regulatory contract. However, given subsequent changes resulting from the recommendations of the EDSD Review, the Authority did not consider it appropriate to proceed with implementing an incentive scheme.
