2005 Distribution Review

Form of Regulation Review

In accordance with the National Electricity Rules, the Queensland Competition Authority must give the distributors two years notice (prior to the commencement of the next regulatory period) if it proposes a change from the current form of regulation.

In October 2002 the Authority released a Discussion Paper on a Review of the Form of Regulation to provide a description of the process and timetable for re-setting the form of regulation, and to encourage submissions on the matter.

In June 2003 the Authority decided to maintain the current revenue cap form of regulation for the next regulatory period.
