Notified Electricity Prices 2009-10
The Queensland Competition Authority is responsible for calculating the Benchmark Retail Cost Index which is used to adjust notified (regulated) electricity prices annually.
The Authority released an Interim Consultation Notice seeking submissions on issues to be considered in calculating the Benchmark Retail Cost Index for 2009-10.
The Authority released its Draft Decision on the 2009-10 BRCI on 2 December 2008
The Authority released a Consultation Paper on the methods to be used in constructing a NEM load trace for use in calculating energy purchase costs consistent with the recent Court Judgment on 8 May 2009.
On 3 June 2009 the Authority received a new certificate of delegation from the Minister for Mines and Energy which supersedes the previous delegation. The new delegation changed the reporting requirement from “on 12 June 2009” to “no later than 12 June 2009”.
Final decision
On 9 June 2009 the Authority released its Final Decision on the 2009-10 BRCI.
