Notified Electricity Prices 2007-08
Draft Decision
The Minister for Mines and Energy has delegated to the Queensland Competition Authority the responsibility to calculate the Benchmark Retail Cost Index (BRCI) for 2006-07 and 2007-08.
The Authority released an Interim Consultation Notice on 27 March 2007 seeking submissions on some key issues it had identified in calculating the BRCI. Six submissions were received.
The Authority engaged CRA International (CRA) to assist it in calculating the BRCI for 2006-07 and 2007-08. The report prepared by CRA can be viewed below.
Having considered the submissions received in response to the Interim Consultation Notice and the report prepared by CRA, the Authority has released its Draft Decision on the BRCI for 2006-07 and 2007-08.
The Authority sought submissions from interested parties on its Draft Decision before a final recommendation was made to the Minister for Mines and Energy. The Draft Decision can be viewed below.
