Notified Electricity Prices 2011-12

The Authority is responsible for calculating the Benchmark Retail Cost Index (BRCI), which is used to adjust notified (regulated) electricity prices annually.

On 21 September 2010, the Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy and Minister for Trade issued a certificate of delegation to the Authority requesting that it undertake the BRCI process for 2011-12. The certificate of delegation can be accessed below.

On 23 September 2010, the Authority released an Interim Consultation Notice in relation to the 2011-12 BRCI seeking submissions from interested parties. Submissions closed on 11 October 2010. The Interim Consultation Notice and submissions received in response can be accessed here.

On 17 December 2010, the Authority released its Draft Decision on the 2011-12 BRCI. Submissions closed on 11 February 2011. The Draft Decision and submissions received in response can be accessed here.

On 31 May 2011, the Authority released its Final Decision on the 2011-12 BRCI. The Final Decision can be accessed here.
