Competitive Neutrality

Complaint - Road Transport Operator/QR

A road transport operator brought a complaint against Queensland Rail (QR) alleging that certain funding arrangements breached the principle of competitive neutrality.  The Queensland Competition Authority found that these arrangements did constitute a breach of the principle of competitive neutrality, however, as the source of that breach had subsequently been removed, no further action was warranted.  The Authority’s recommendations were accepted by the Ministers.
