The Queensland Competition Authority (QCA) has been directed by the Queensland Government to undertake an investigation into the pricing of medical and disability aids and equipment in Queensland.
The review is investigating:
disparities in the price of medical and disability aids and equipment between Queensland, other Australian jurisdictions and overseas
the causes of any price disparities found, including regulatory barriers, price discrimination and market power
actions that could be undertaken by Government to address the negative impacts of any price disparities.
We have released our draft report and are now seeking responses on the recommendations, before submitting a final report to the Queensland Government by the end of February.
You are invited to provide a submission, no later than 13 January 2014 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
