Regulated Electricity Prices 2018-19

The QCA has released its final determination on regulated retail electricity prices for regional Queensland in 2018–19.

Electricity prices for most regional customers will fall in 2018–19. The typical customer on the main residential tariff (tariff 11) will see a decrease of 1.3%, and the typical customer on the main small business tariff (tariff 20) will see a decrease of 3.4%.

On 22 December 2017, the QCA received  a Delegation to determine regulated retail electricity prices for regional Queensland from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019, from the Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy, the Hon Anthony Lynham MP. 

On the same day, the QCA released an interim consultation paper to seek stakeholder feedback on how it would determine electricity prices for regional Queensland.
